Permanent Makeup Aftercare
FIRST 48 HOURS
The first 48 hours are a critical time because this is when your body is trying to do whatever it needs to do to heal itself. Your newly tattooed brows will form some scabs, but please do NOT touch them!! Leave it untouched and it will peel off by itself. The tattoo pigment comes off right along with it. This results in pigment loss, leaving "holes" or "gaps" in your brows. This is completely normal!
After the procedure, lightly pat brows with dry gauze every two hours using gentle patting motions. DO NOT wet brows. Apply a rice grain size of Aquaphor ointment or the aftercare cream very gently each time when dry. (It's normal if your brows feel very dry, tight, and itchy.) Use a clean end of the q-tip each time to apply the ointment.
NO EXCESSIVE SWEATING DURING THE FIRST 10 DAYSNO SUN EXPOSURE AND NO OTHER PRODUCTS ON BROWS FOR 10 DAYS
This includes makeup, oil, soaps, or any other products. Remember, you cannot wet the brows to properly clean them, so it is important to keep the area very clean.
DO NOT WET BROWS
in any way! Make sure to keep your brows dry if showering (wash your hair last, your head tilted back so the water doesn't run toward your brows.) Wash your face in the sink, using only a damp cloth to cleanse around your brows. A normal washing routine can be used on the lower half of the face from the eyes down. Try to sleep on your back as much as possible. Rubbing the brows on pillows/sheets can lead to premature fallout of the scabs and poor color retention.Repeat these steps for 4-5 weeks
Eyes Aftercare QuestionsAFTER THE PROCEDURE IS COMPLETEI will cleanse the client's eyes and around the eye area to flush residual pigment out of the eye. Once the cleaning is complete, you will be asked to sit up so that I can view the eyeliner procedure. This is also the perfect time to take photographs of the eyeliner procedure. The need for small details work may be noticed by the client or in photographs that will require additional tattooing. The client and I both have to agree to make any major changes! HEALED EYELINERSIt is important to take into consideration that healed eyeliners ( upper or lower ) have a tendency to appear to have last a portion of the width line and vibrancy of the pigment after healing. This appearance of pigment loss occurs for a number of reasons!1. After completing the procedure the area is puffy, giving it a bloated or wider appearance.2. During the healing process sloughing of the edges and a lighter color appearance than observed immediately after the original procedure.3. New skin heals over the tattooed area and color must then be seen through the filter of the skin. Based on the client's skin type and the technique of the procedure that I use, the healed appearance will vary somewhat from client to client; nonetheless, healed upper or lower eyeliner will typically be more narrow and the color will appear less vibrant than the version of the lines originally tattooed.•.¸✿¸.•Lips After Care QuestionsWHAT YOU SHOULD KNOWSwelling and bleeding can occur during the lip tattooing process, causing distortion! After the treatment there will be swallowing, body fluids, and flaking. Please let the flaking fall on its own, apply ice if needed but layer with a cloth. If there are bodily fluids lightly pat them down with gauds. Always apply your moisturizing aftercare cream whenever you feel like your lips are dry.
